Almost all of the projects are us keeping relationships with organizations from our first trip and continuing our projects from the pervious years.
2018 Projects
ST. CROIX ENVIRONMENTAL ASSOCIATION
Up keep of the trail to the natural salt pond on the Southgate Coastal Wildlife Reserve, the planting of 30 indigenous trees along the trail to combat the growth of invasive species, and removal of excessive debris generated from the destruction of Hurricane Maria on the beach stretching along the Wildlife Reserve.
GOOD HOPE COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL
This past spring their community service included assisting the remodeling and maintenance of the gymnasium.
JUAN F. LUIS HOSPITAL MEMORIAL GARDEN
Additionally, the students renovated the memorial garden honored to Asa O’Neal for mothers who have lost their babies at Juan F. Luis Hospital that they installed in spring 2017.
BOLF held a food drive at the women’s Howard University volleyball game (Burr Gymnasium) on Friday, September 28th, 2018. We had a table with our team members and information about the group. All non-perishable food was delivered to the Capital Area Food Bank.
